Charcteristics
A top class dual Flat and National Hunt track with a left
handed run-in of around four furlongs and a straight mile course which is
galloping in nature representing a true test of stamina. The fences are
difficult and it requires a good jumper just to get round!

Travel Details:
From M4, junction 13
From the M4 at Junction 13 and join the A34 for Newbury. Follow the signs for
Newbury, joining the A339 and follow into Newbury to a set traffic lights (keep
in one of the two lanes on the right hand side). Continue straight over two sets
of traffic lights on the large roundabout (Robin Hood roundabout). At the next
roundabout (Sainsburys on left), countinue straight ove the remaining on the
A339. At the next roundabout (Halfords on the left), take first exit into Queens
Road. At mini roundabout, fork right into Greenham Road and take the first left
which is Racecourse Road leading into the main racecourse entrance.
From M3, Junction 9
Exit the M3 at Junction 9 (signed to the Midlands, newbury and A34). Join the
A34 and south of Newbury, leave the A34 at the exit signposted Newbury & Tot
Hill Services. Follow the B4640 towards newbury and go through Newtown, to the
roundabout with the A339 Basingstoke Road by the Swan Inn. Travel striaght over
the hill on the dual carriageway (passing St. Gabriel's School on the right). At
the large roundabout, go straight over and at the next roundabout take the third
exit off into Queens Road. At the mini roundabout, fork right into Greenham Road
and take the forst left into Racecourse Road leading to the main racecourse
entrance.
By Train:
Newbury Racecourse station is on the course. You can now buy a combined train
and admission ticket, contact First Great Western Trains 0800 3583567 for
further details.
