January 2008 News Archive Friday 30th January 2009 Todays Racing Today sees racing from Lingfield, Catterick and Chepstow, with further action from Dunstall park for our Friday night entertainment. Lingfield has not been the kindest of tracks to us, giving us an overall loss in the last three months, although had we just bet on the non handicaps, we would have been sat on a +5.56 profit. Chepstow has been less productive with just one winner and two places from 8 selections there. All tips for Chepstow have come from MOB, and three of the eight, (all unplaced) have come from MOBPLSYS1 which is interesting, although 2 of those were 66/1. Another 3 MOBPLSYS1 qualifiers from Catterick, but one winner at advised odds of 8/1 (EW), from 4 selections leaves us with a nice little +6.25 cushion at this stage. Wolverhampton is by far the busiest of tracks for us selection wise, and had been very productive thus far. Between 1st Nov and 26th Jan, we have tipped no less than 55 runners here, and have returned a 27.3% strike rate for winners, 49% of selections placed, and an LSP to industry standard Sp's of +10.31 points. If covering the same selections on Betfair Sp's for £20 per bet, that pot would now sit at £420, 21 level staked points, fully double what the industry would have paid. The incredible benefits of Betfair. I always enjoy the handicaps on the all weather as I feel I have an edge form reading on the level playing field. With a review of the results here, with handicap tips alone between the same dates we are 11 wins, and 8 places from 39 runners, for a return to level stakes of +29.90. Lets hope we have something to help us improve that tonight Thursday 29th January 2009 MOBPLSYS1 does it again!!!! +25 points profit for January!!!! Our most popular system has done it again by providing subscribers with another big price placer, this time at 40/1!! Not the first time this sort of price has been landed, having scored with HEY BIG SPENDER on the 30th December. Not only does this system give nice priced placers, but this month alone has provided us with WINNERS at 14/1 - 7/1 & 9/1 and further places to boot. Around 25 points profit for January alone!!! Its consistent too, with 14/1, 8/1 and other winners in December for big system profits Can you afford not to know when Februarys will run?? Sunday was hit with losing Market Rasen, and forewarning that Lingfield has been lost already for Monday. Disappointment also as the likes of PANCAKE and SNAP TIE let us down. Masterminded at Ascot on Saturday was masterful, and can we seriously look elsewhere for the Champion Chase? Cheltenham: As mentioned above MASTERMINDED was awesome, winning with consummate ease at the weekend. The Cheltenham Festival Section of the site is building at present where we look at each race in depth. Thursday 15th January 2009 Matt scores again with MAX BET information No mistake once again from Matt with his information again today, scoring another winner for the MAX BET line, and continuing the 100% strike for this year. How long can he keep it going this year? - In addition MOB's systems continue to provide profits with both MOBSYSPL1 and MOBSYS2 providing returns on the day, and profit overall for 2009 already. I'm pumping Matt already to find out when we can expect the next word for the next max bet, but we shouldn't be greedy, patience is the key with these ones. Results review for first half of January A couple of performance charts, this one is since service launch on November 1st November was nothing but a success story, whilst December we took a step backwards before making some gains back in January. To check these tables and charts and the results of each and every selection, along with filterable tables, and separate results for each of our tipsters, click the link above.
This is Januarys chart to level stakes. You can see we had a sticky period for a few days but have recovered well and are sitting atop a profit going into the second half of the month.

But of course, we also have the package available at half price for a limited time, so dont be afraid of clicking this link too and taking advantage of the offer whilst its open. Monday 12th January 2009 The Jumps are back!!! Bit funny doing Mondays update now, as its just turned 1am Tuesday, but hey ho! So so pleased to see the return of some jumps action today after the recent cold snap. Of course a couple of winners at 6/1 and 7/1 had no bearing on that feeling whatsoever, we just love watching them sail over the fences right? With that bit of action, it has inspired us to get the Cheltenham thoughts up and running, kicking off with the Supreme Novices Hurdle on Tuesday 10th. Sunday 11th January 2009 Take a look at Our Cheltenham Festival Package: We have lined up an offer for you to sign up for our Cheltenham Festival Special Package. This package is for the four days of the festival this March. Full pack subscribers have this included so need not sign up for this. More details by clicking here; Matt scores a double on a quiet Day: Matt managed a double at Great Leighs today including 10/3 Dishdasha from 4 bets ensuring a profitable day. Well done Matt! Tipping Update: Please see further below for December tipping results review January tipping so far. After 10 days we have analysed the results thus far this month, and continuing on a trend like December, the limited jumps action has been the source of profit whilst the Aw has been costing us. Looking at the AW closely then to discover what has changed, given that through 2007 it was once of our more profitable areas, we notice more and more non handicap races being tipped. From the 9 winning AW tips through January so far, 7 were Handicaps whilst only 2 were stakes races. We are 2-13 in Stakes overall, and 7 from 25 in the handicaps. Something we shall be looking at closely given the following fact also. Average Sp of AW Handicap Tips 3/1 Average Sp of winning handicap Tips 1.94/1 Average Sp of Non-Handicap Tips 2.61/1 Average Sp of Winners 1.81/1 These figures have surprised us somewhat given that through November the figures for Handicaps were 8.15/1 and 6.85/1 for winners. Up to date table of P/L since November 2007. To date we are still some 43.66 points in profit since launch at advised prices.
Saturday Info: Well the Max Bet News came through as promised and came through in its race as promised. Agenda: The full results spreadsheet is now up to date and available on request. This will be on its own page shortly, just as the systems have their own spreadsheet downloads. This results summary page is being built as I write. Other items on the Agenda include.. All Weather Guide: A complete guide to All Weather Racing. This will include the items that will be shortly updated in the STATS ATTACK section. Trainer Targets, and Calendar Watch. Also draw analysis. Course Characteristics are already available in the Course Guide section in STATS ATTACK. Also we will add some timing guides too for speed rating. National Hunt Section: The Calendar Watch section needs completing December Results review: BRING BACK THE JUMPS!! All Weather Racing, normally our saviour in times of trouble was a night-mare through december, it was only our jumps results that saved us. All NH Racing 55Tips - 12 Profitable Bets (21.85) - 10 Winners (18.2%) - 24 Placed (43.6%) LSP +14.26 @ Industry Sp. What is even more surprising is the breakdown of Handicaps and non Handicaps. It turns out we had just 2 Handicap winners through the month over the jumps, which means 8 came in Stakes races All NH Non Handicap Racing 25 Tips - 10 Profitable Bets (40%) - 8 Winners (32%) - 17 Placed (68%) LSP +29.26 Average Sp of all tips 8.68/1 - Average Sp of Winning tips 4/1 - Best Winning Price in Dec 14/1 So we say "WARM UP BRITAIN AND BRING BACK THE JUMPS!" Friday January 9th 2009 We are still awaiting the news from our man regarding this weekend tip, subscribers will receive this the minute it arrives with us. So we did lose Kelso after all, but Sarahs Art did score after being bet on all day, a final Sp of 7/4 was disappointing but hopefully you were able to get the 4.7 and 7/2 about this morning. We were worried for a moment, when Fen got a goo early position from his handy draw for half a furlong, but then dropped the horse right out the back, he obviously knew what he was doing as the run was timed perfectly wide on the straight in the final furlong and we collected. Cheltenham Festival: We've been taking another close look now the first week of January is out the way, at the festival races entries and form thus far. Next week, each day we will give our up to date thoughts on how things look to be shaping up at this stage, and try to highlight some value Ante post bets for a race a day. Been a tad on the busy side today, hence the late update. Time to find some Saturday winners! January 8th 2009 Our man is on the move and will touch base with us as soon as he hears. As soon as we hear you will hear about this supposed "good thing" for the weekend. Matt is really excited about this one, he's jumping up and down. Fog: We lost the last race to fog at Great Leighs today where we were following the Nutjob, he didn't get to run, but we found ourselves in the black thanx to a couple of winners on the day. Weekend Racing: Fingers crossed for Kelso tomorrow, and inspection at 8.30 will determine if racing goes ahead or not. The outlook for the weekend is brighter. Ayr looks to be raceable. Warwick was still unraceable this afternoon, looking forward to the biggest meeting of the winter at the course. There is a little more hope of Wetherby for Saturday be OK. We'll see how things go, but we are missing the jumps!!! January 7th 2009 Firstly, welcome to out new subscribers. Something nice for the weekend Sir?? We have been advised of something "NICE" coming up at the weekend. Either Friday or Saturday depending on which race they decide on, and of course the weather and what that decides to do!! We had a couple of pieces of very late advice today, Unfortunately, this has come through too late to be able to anything with. We are working on this source to ensure that we receive notification in time to be able to pass this on to you guys. As it was, the first piece was certainly unlucky in running, and but for having to make massive switch off the inside rail when squeezed, we think he could have scored for us at double figure odds whilst the second one scored at short odds. We will work has hard as we can to ensure this is given in a more timely manner next time, but it is encouraging to have this new source on board. In light of yesterdays request for feedback we have had some requests in already including one in which we think its pretty difficult to stick a website up .......... Anyway, that one aside we thank you for your feedback. We are building an Agenda page so you can see what we are working on. First on the list at present is building that agenda site, after the results spreadsheet is brought up to date and ready for download. Results Spreadsheet: These spreadsheets have already started appearing on the site and are available to either view or download. We have also enabled filtering on them, so you can check out just where we are performing or not as the case may be. The system spreadsheets highlight every single qualifier since records began. Whilst the service sheets will be available in the next couple of days, beginning November 2008 when the service began. The spreadsheet is fully filterable and available for view online or as a download. Right, enough waffle, get on with the results update BONG!!! MOB
January 6th 2009 Well, a belated happy New year to everyone new and old. We have been getting some feedback, and as we've always said, we will listen and act. You have told us that this section is not updated regularly enough. We shall now attempt to have a daily update here each day with our current thoughts and any developments. If you do have any questions or comments, or indeed, if there is anything you would like to see added to the site that would have you visiting more regularly, please let us know. We are in early development stages, and would love to know what you, would like to see here. The STATS ATTACK section, will be developed further and further in the coming months, as will the Flat sections in readiness for the 2009 season. Gives us your thoughts by clicking HERE Cheltenham Festival: Well, in National hunt all roads lead to Cheltenham, and the clues are being provided week in week out at present. (When the racing survives the weather that is!). The Gold Cup is getting Bong very interested. After being a staunch supporter of Denman both from a tipping perspective and a financial interest last season, his delayed appearance and entry into the Grand National, along with doubts of Kauto Stars ability to run either left handed or indeed around Cheltenham, makes us wonder if there could be some value in behind from an improver. We shall be keeping a close eye on developments there. Others we are keen on at present, but not yet ready to dive in on just yet are VOY POR USTEDES who looks likely to be going for the RYANAIR Chase, unless something major happens with MASTER MINDED, and another that on the radar is RED MOLONEY in the Supreme Novices. Tipping Service: We have had a few requests for some more flexible packages on the Tipping Service. We understand the current climate, and we are currently looking to expand on the "cheaper options" that are available to compliment the "WEEKEND PACKAGE". We are looking at expand the "WEEKEND PACK" to include Fridays too, and the addition of a "MIDWEEK PACK" to include Monday - Friday racing, whilst also adding in a 7 day option, and a possible daily SMS text service. We are also discussing the possibilities of providing form and systems in separate packs, although the administration of this begins to get complicated with several different mailings going out on a daily basis, but certainly something we are not discounting. If there any bespoke packages you require please e-mail us with your requirements and we can look into it, and i'm sure we can come up with a bespoke service to suit. |
