Course
Charcteristics
An undulating left-handed course measuring a mile and a half.
There are plenty of twists and turns here so course knowledge is vital. Hence
the reason why local trainers invariably do well. Stamina is the key as
conditions become extremely testing in wet conditions. The fences are fairly
easy but there is a stiff climb to the finish which is on a separate chute.

Travel Details:
By Car:
Hexham is 20 miles from Newcastle and 35 miles from Carlisle, 2 miles south of
Hexham off the A69 between the B6305 and the B6306.
By Train:
Hexham station is on the line between Newcastle and Carlisle. A free bus service
runs from the station on racedays.
