Course
Charcteristics
An extremely sharp left handed national hunt course that is
only a mile in circumference on the hurdles track and a mile and a quarter over
fences. The fences are easy but there is a stiff uphill finish. Nippy front
runners are often suited. Mudlarks tend to do well here as the ground has a
tendency to become very testing due to the clay surface.

Travel Details:
By Car:
Kelso racecourse is north of Kelso itself, off the A6089 and the A699. From
London, take the A1(M) then pick up the A697 and A698. From the west, take the
M6 exiting Junction 44, then follow the A7 and A698.
By Train:
The nearest station is at Berwick, 22 miles away, on the line from London Kings
Cross.
By Plane:
Both Newcastle and Edinburgh Airports are approximately 60 miles from Kelso
