MILDMAY COURSE: Left handed, sharp, generally flat track with a long flat run-in.

GRAND NATIONAL COURSE: (only used for Grand National meeting in April) is stiff and galloping with hard fences.

Travel Details:

By Car:
From the south, leave M6 at J21A and join M62 west. Leave M62 at J6 to join M57, follow signs to the racecourse on the A59. From the north, leave M62 at J6 and join M58, follow signs for races. From the Mersey Tunnel, follow signs for Preston, then for A59, then sign for races.

By Train:
The nearest mainline station is Liverpool Lime Street. It is a short walk from here to Liverpool Central where you can catch special race trains to Aintree. Any train travelling to Ormskirk on the Northern Line will also stop at Aintree station, opposite the main entrance to the racecourse.
